As she stumbled upon the kitten، it was evident that the little one was struggling to survive on its own. Despite the kitten’s valiant efforts to fend for itself، the question still remained: where were its siblings?
SEVERAL WEEKS AGO، A WORKER CAME ACROSS A LONE KITTEN AT HER WORKPLACE، AND SHE COULDN’T BEAR TO LEAVE THE LITTLE ONE TO FEND FOR ITSELF.
Determined to help، she reached out to an animal shelter، but unfortunately، they were unable to take the kitten in. Undeterred، she contacted Camryn Lauffer، the founder of Stray Cat Network، a place from which she had previously adopted a cat. Camryn immediately rushed to meet her.
Upon arrival، Camryn realized that there might be more kittens in the vicinity.
The worker searched the area again، but no mother cat or other siblings were found. Camryn encouraged her to keep looking، hoping there were still more kittens in need of rescue.
The tiny kitten، named Football، was only about four weeks old. Initially frightened، he quickly warmed up to his rescuers after being comforted with a soft blanket and some treats.
However، Camryn noticed some issues with his hind legs later that day.
The following morning، the worker returned to her workplace and continued her search.
Surprisingly، she stumbled upon two more kittens، Birdie (orange) and Whiffle (gray). Camryn was alerted and wasted no time in picking up the newfound siblings.
Football was delighted to be reunited with his littermates، and the trio seemed overjoyed to be back together.
While the kittens appeared healthy at first، Birdie soon displayed signs of ataxia and lethargy.
After conducting several tests، they were diagnosed with panleukopenia، also known as feline distemper.
