“Feline Mama Flees in Panic but Returns in Search of Her Precious Kittens”

Being generous is a way of showing you care! There’s no denying the immense strength of a mother’s love. Alissa Smith, one of the founders of Wrenn Rescues, was contacted to help rescue a litter of kittens that were only 10 days old. Although shelter workers had already rescued them, they required additional assistance from seasoned experts. Alissa recounted the experience:

With just a quarter of an hour remaining, nobody else had come forward to take care of these kittens. However, the networking group came to the rescue and made sure that they were safely transported to Ventura County, California, thanks to the efforts of an amazing woman named CJ. The kittens were first spotted in someone’s yard along with their mother. Unfortunately, 

the mother ran away in fear when people tried to approach her. Ashley, a volunteer foster parent, and Jenifer Hurt, co-founder of the rescue organization, took them in and provided bottle-feeding to ensure that they received the necessary care. Although the kittens were well-cared-for by their mother, this is not always the case with orphaned kittens that end up in shelters. This highlights the importance of leaving kittens where they are found and waiting for the mother, rather than taking them to the shelter.

Jenifer and Ashley had made preparations to bottle-feed the kittens until they were old enough, but fate had a surprise in store for them! The kind souls who had rescued the kittens initially found their mother cat wandering around their house in search of her young ones.
